Rimatte is designed to work directly with photos stored on your computer without requiring a cloud library or account.
Your photos
Rimatte browses and manages the ordinary files and folders you choose on your computer. It does not require you to import those photos into a proprietary catalog.
Accounts and cloud services
Browsing and organizing photos in Rimatte do not require a Rimatte account or cloud service. Your full-size photos remain in their normal filesystem locations.
Thumbnail cache
Rimatte may create local thumbnails and cache bookkeeping data to make browsing faster. On Windows, this cache is kept outside your photo folders under your local application-data area.
Exports
When you use Border & Text, Quick Export, or other presentation features, Rimatte creates new output files rather than modifying your original images automatically.
File removal
Normal removal workflows use the operating system’s Recycle Bin or Trash rather than permanently deleting files immediately.
Website
This static Rimatte website does not require an account. Your hosting provider may still keep ordinary server logs such as IP address, request time, and requested URL as part of operating the web server.
